Sustainability is an important criterion when it comes to selecting our partners and suppliers. It forms part of our code of conduct for suppliers. Our purchasing department aims to achieve carbon neutrality through its four fundamental values.
We look for solutions that are sustainable, innovative and effective.
We want to know the "total cost of ownership" or TCO and we insist on appropriate quality standards.
We aim to protect Luminus from potential risks.
We foster a culture of continuous improvement and aim for excellence in everything we do.
We assess sustainability in purchasing on the basis of four different criteria. We expect our partners and suppliers to support the same values and principles, especially in the areas of sustainability and operational excellence.
Fair business practices in accordance with the law
We aim to ensure a safe and appropriate working environment at all times.
Treating every person with respect is one of the core values of our corporate culture.
We expect our partners and suppliers to share the same values. We have set out a code of conduct for our suppliers to ensure transparency and build successful long-term relationships.
Are you committed to our sustainability principles? You could become a Luminus supplier. Our purchasing policy describes all the stages in this process in a transparent way. It is intended to prevent misunderstandings and disputes.
We select suppliers and invite them to submit their bids on our Coupa supplier portal.
We check whether your bid meets all our criteria, and ask you for additional information if needed.
We draw up a shortlist of the best bids and start negotiations to arrive at a "best and final offer" or BAFO.
Once we have reached agreement, we sign the contract and implementation can begin. Operational excellence is then monitored with the help of indicators and service levels.
The EcoVadis sustainability platform helps us to compare suppliers and assess our own actions. EcoVadis highlights risks and opportunities, allowing us and our suppliers to achieve a higher level of sustainability.
In the latest assessment - EcoVadis 2023 - we scored 61% for our actions relating to our purchasing policy.
Luminus expects ethical conduct from its employees and external collaborators. If you witness or suspect any unethical behaviour at Luminus, you can report it in accordance with the Code of Conduct.
If you become aware of any behaviour that breaches the code of conduct or infringes the relevant laws or regulations, you must report it. The whistleblowing process describes in detail how to report a breach, how we investigate it and the conditions under which a whistleblower is eligible for protection.
