As a Data Engineer, you play a key role in bridging data infrastructure and business reporting. You design optimized data models and semantic layers for BI tools like Power BI and Qlik, ensuring stakeholders have fast, reliable, and actionable insights to drive strategic decisions. Your mission goes beyond building pipelines—you enable business value by creating scalable BI-ready datasets that fuel analytics and reporting across Luminus’ optimization activities.
What you’ll do
- Design and implement robust data products and end-to-end pipelines aligned with best practices and architectural guidelines.
- Build optimized data models and semantic layers for BI tools such as Power BI and Qlik to deliver consistent, high-performance reporting.
- Ensure scalability and reliability through pipeline automation, monitoring, and proactive maintenance.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to align data solutions with strategic objectives and reporting needs.
- Empower business users by providing training and coaching to help them become autonomous in managing their reports.
- Stay ahead of technological trends in data engineering, machine learning, and modern data management practices.
What you bring
- A Master’s degree in STEM, Business Engineering (Data Science specialization), or equivalent experience.
- Strong expertise in data architecture, ETL processes, and database management.
- Hands-on experience with BI development tools (Power BI, Qlik), including semantic layer design and data model optimization.
- Solid programming skills in Python and SQL, plus practical experience with Apache Spark, DBT, and Snowflake.
- Knowledge of DataOps practices and data governance principles to ensure quality, compliance, and security.
- A proactive, customer-oriented mindset with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
