Offshore PPA Manager

Optimisation

The Optimization department at Luminus focuses on enhancing the company's market position and operational efficiency through strategic planning, risk management, and effective market activities. By integrating market insights with advanced analytical tools, the team supports investment decisions, optimizes asset portfolios and manages detailed contractual agreements.

As Offshore PPA Manager, you are responsible for managing the offtake of offshore wind energy within the Princess Elisabeth Zone. You will lead complex contract structuring and negotiation efforts, align with offshore tender rules, and balance long-term commercial risks and opportunities. Your work will be central to how Luminus commercializes offshore wind energy and supports Belgium's climate goals.

What you'll do

  • You will shape and implement offtake strategies for offshore wind projects, ensuring they align with Belgian offshore wind tender requirements and evolving market conditions.
  • You keep these strategies agile and responsive by closely following regulatory developments, partner needs, and market dynamics.
  • You work on creating and fine-tuning models for PPAs and CPPAs that reflect sound pricing logic, strategic value, and commercial requirements.
  • You take the lead in guiding PPA negotiations with both Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) and industrial customers, helping to secure long-term, balanced agreements.
  • You contribute to embedding these PPAs into the broader optimization framework, with a focus on operational follow-up and performance monitoring.
  • You assess risks such as market volatility, balancing costs, and price cannibalization, and you translate your findings into pricing strategies that ensure resilience and value.
  • You collaborate closely with stakeholders to structure SPVPA contracts and link them with CPPA opportunities, helping build an aligned and sustainable energy value chain.

What you bring

  • You hold a Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Economics, Commercial Sciences or a related field.
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in the energy sector, with a strong grasp of electricity and gas market mechanisms.
  • You demonstrate strong analytical thinking and can explain complex pricing and contract structures in a clear way.
  • You are familiar with the Belgian offshore wind sector or eager to quickly immerse yourself in it.
  • You can confidently work in Excel and use it as a structured tool for thinking and modeling (VBA or BI tools are not required).
  • You communicate fluently in Dutch and English. French is a welcome bonus.
  • You work autonomously, take initiative, and enjoy solving complex, multi-stakeholder problems.

Why join us

This role offers:

  • A chance to work on high-impact offshore wind projects and support the development of Belgium's energy future.
  • Strong professional growth opportunities in a complex, strategic environment.
  • You work from home or in a Luminus hub close to home. Nine-to-five, or not? There are options to make your schedule work for you.
