As a Senior Market Data Modelling Analyst, you are the go-to expert for market price data and price curves at Luminus. You design and maintain advanced data solutions that support trading, forecasting, and strategic decision-making. With your strong financial mindset, market knowledge, and analytical skills, you deliver insights that fuel our growth and accelerate the energy transition.

 

What you’ll do

  • You analyse market trends, prices, and regulations to identify opportunities and risks.
  • You develop and optimise forward curve models, as well as volatility and correlation calculations.
  • As Data Steward, you ensure market data quality and correct interpretation across the company.
  • While working closely with traders, analysts, data scientists and engineers, you enhance forecasting models and improve market understanding.
  • You build dashboards and tools that support trading, strategy and risk management.
  • You manage relationships with data providers and ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
  • You communicate clearly and proactively with stakeholders across the business and affiliates, translating complex data into actionable insights.

 

What you bring

  • You have a strong financial background (experience in banking or energy markets is a major plus).
  • You understand energy markets and curve modelling techniques deeply.
  • You are proficiant in Python and Power BI; experience with SAS is a plus.
  • You combine analytical thinking with a keen eye for data quality and accuracy.
  • You communicate complex topics clearly and confidently to non-technical audiences.
  • You are organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • You take ownership, act with integrity, and thrive in a collaborative environment.
  • You are fluent in English, knowledge of French or Dutch is a big plus.

Drive the future of energy optimisation through smart analysis and strategic impact

 

Within Luminus, our Optimisation department is responsible for maximizing the value of the company’s energy assets—such as renewable generation and storage—by leveraging data and market insights to drive efficient, sustainable operations. The department plays a key role in supporting the transition to clean energy by optimizing production and trading strategies that reduce CO₂ emissions and promote the use of green energy.

 

 

As a Business Analyst for Optimisation, you play a key role in shaping the digital evolution of our energy trading and optimisation landscape. You connect business ambition with IT capabilities, ensuring that every transformation delivers measurable value and drives strategic growth.

 

 

What you’ll do

 

  • Analyse the current optimisation processes and systems, capture the impact of upcoming regulatory changes (e.g. Elia), and translate this into clear requirements.
  • Act as the bridge between business (traders, risk, generation) and IT, ensuring business needs are currectly understoord and delivered.
  • Coordinate reporting demands within the optimisation team: gather needs, define priorities and align with BI colleagues.
  • Document AS-IS and TO-BE processes, providing structure, transparency and clear impact analysis. 
  • Drive workshops and stakeholder discussions to clarify requirements, build busienss cases and ensure aligment.
  • Safegaurd solution quality and user acceptance from intitial analysis through testing and implementation.
  • Support change management: communicate clearly, train business users and facilitate adoption so changes bring real value.

 

 

What you bring

 

  • You hold a Master’s degree in a quantitative field like Finance, Engineering, or Economics.
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in business analysis and requirement gathering.
  • You understand financial instruments (forwards, swaps, options) and have strong affinity with the energy (trading) sector.
  • Experience with ETRM portfolio modelling is a plus. 
  • You’re experienced with Agile delivery (Scrum, JIRA, Confluence) and business process modelling.
  • You bring analytical skills and a data-driven mindset, with experience in data analysis considered a plus.
  • You take ownership, communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders and keep askign the right questions until things are clear. 
  • You are fluent in English, and in Dutch or French.

Offshore PPA Manager

Optimisation

Drive the offshore energy future – connecting wind power with smart contracts.

As Offshore PPA Manager, you will play a pivotal role in bringing large-scale offshore wind projects to market. In this position, you design and manage strategies for the offtake of offshore wind power, translate complex market and risk dynamics into robust Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and Corporate PPAs (CPPAs), and ensure these contracts integrate seamlessly into our broader optimisation strategy.

 

What you’ll do

  • You develop and maintain offtake strategies for offshore wind projects, taking into account market trends, tender rules and the right risk–reward balance.
  • Building clear and strategic PPA and CPPA models will be part of your daily work, combining commercial logic with long-term value creation.
  • In negotiations with Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) and industrial customers, you lead the way to secure balanced, long-term agreements.
  • You make sure contracts are implemented effectively, and you follow up on performance and compliance in detail.
  • Analysing price risks, balancing costs and cannibalisation effects will allow you to design resilient pricing strategies.
  • By working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you ensure SPV PPA structures are aligned with CPPA opportunities to create a sustainable energy value chain.

 

What you bring

  • You hold a Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Engineering, Economics or a similar discipline.
  • With at least 3 years in the energy sector, you have in-depth knowledge of electricity and gas market mechanisms.
  • You combine strong analytical skills with the ability to explain complex contract and pricing models in a clear way, using a methodical approach and solid Excel skills.
  • In negotiations, you are confident and persuasive, engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • You work independently while staying collaborative, sharing knowledge and insights with your team.
  • You speak Dutch and English fluently, and French is an advantage.
