Optimisation

The Optimization department at Luminus focuses on enhancing the company's market position and operational efficiency through strategic planning, risk management, and effective market activities. By integrating market insights with advanced analytical tools, the team supports investment decisions, optimizes asset portfolios and manages detailed contractual agreements. 

As Offshore PPA Manager, you are responsible for managing the offtake of offshore wind energy within the Princess Elisabeth Zone. You will lead complex contract structuring and negotiation efforts, align with offshore tender rules, and balance long-term commercial risks and opportunities. Your work will be central to how Luminus commercializes offshore wind energy and supports Belgium's climate goals.

 

What you'll do

 

  • You will shape and implement offtake strategies for offshore wind projects, ensuring they align with Belgian offshore wind tender requirements and evolving market conditions.
  • You keep these strategies agile and responsive by closely following regulatory developments, partner needs, and market dynamics.
  • You work on creating and fine-tuning models for PPAs and CPPAs that reflect sound pricing logic, strategic value, and commercial requirements.
  • You take the lead in guiding PPA negotiations with both Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) and industrial customers, helping to secure long-term, balanced agreements.
  • You contribute to embedding these PPAs into the broader optimization framework, with a focus on operational follow-up and performance monitoring.
  • You assess risks such as market volatility, balancing costs, and price cannibalization, and you translate your findings into pricing strategies that ensure resilience and value.
  • You collaborate closely with stakeholders to structure SPVPA contracts and link them with CPPA opportunities, helping build an aligned and sustainable energy value chain.

 

 

What you bring

 

  • You hold a Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Economics, Commercial Sciences or a related field.
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in the energy sector, with a strong grasp of electricity and gas market mechanisms.
  • You demonstrate strong analytical thinking and can explain complex pricing and contract structures in a clear way.
  • You are familiar with the Belgian offshore wind sector or eager to quickly immerse yourself in it.
  • You can confidently work in Excel and use it as a structured tool for thinking and modeling (VBA or BI tools are not required).
  • You communicate fluently in Dutch and English. French is a welcome bonus.
  • You work autonomously, take initiative, and enjoy solving complex, multi-stakeholder problems.

En tant que Technicien électrique (E),  Instrumentation (I) et contrôle (C) , vous assurez l’entretien et l’optimisation des équipements E&I sur nos unités thermiques et hydrauliques. Votre expertise contribue directement à la disponibilité, fiabilité et sécurité de nos outils de production. 

 

 

Votre travail quotidien

 

  • Vous préparez, coordonnez, exécutez et mettez en service les travaux de votre activité principale au sein de l'équipe E&I.
  • Vous apportez un support technique et une expertise précieuse aux exploitants et à vos collègues.
  • Vous établissez et mettez à jour les schémas des circuits électriques, de commandes et de mesures.
  • Vous rédigez des rapports détaillés et documentez les travaux exécutés dans SAP.
  • Vous assurez une administration efficace liée à la réception et l'approbation des articles livrés et des prestations externes.
  • Vous adoptez une attitude respectueuse de l'environnement et de la sécurité, veillant à la protection des personnes.

Votre profil

 

  • Vous disposez au minimum d’un bachelier en électricité, électronique, régulation, instrumentation ou automatisation, ou vous pouvez démontrer une expérience équivalente.

  • Une expérience préliminaire de minimum 2 ans d’expérience dans le domaine électrique en industrie est un plus

  • Une expérience en haute et basse tension est requise.

  • Vous avez de  connaissances en automatisation et instrumentation.

  • Vous avez un fort esprit d’équipe et recherchez collectivement le meilleur résultat.

  • Vous veillez à ce que la sécurité des personnes et des équipements soit assurée.

Dit ga je doen

 

  • Binnen je hoofdactiviteit in het I&C-team en volgens het onderhoudsproces sta je in in voor de uitvoering en inbedrijfstelling van werkzaamheden.
  • Je analyseert problemen, maakt diagnoses en onderzoekt samen met het team waar het probleem zit én hoe het opgelost kan worden.
  • Jij zorgt ervoor dat alles blijft draaien zoals het hoort. Je plaatst, regelt af, onderhoudt en vernieuwt diverse meet- en regelinstrumentatie.

Dit breng je mee

  • Ervaring in de procesindustrie of elektriciteitsproductie is een waardevolle aanvulling.
  • Kennis van procesautomatisatie (regelaars, metingen, controlesystemen…) is een mooie plus.
  • Je bent goede kennis van MS Office en kennis van SAP is een extra troef.

As a GL Accountant, you step into a key role at the heart of our financial operations. You will take ownership of general ledger activities across one or more accounting scopes, managing your own planning and organization while ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our financial data.

 

 

What you’ll do

 

  • Taking the lead on daily accounting operations, you ensure accurate registrations and timely closings in both BEGAAP and IFRS.
  • Reconciling GL accounts, making corrections and ensuring everything balances out, you own the monthly closings within your scope.
  • You manage key accounting processes like IFRS 16 (RE-FX), asset management (AA), repair & maintenance tracking, and several closing tasks across entities.
  • Analysing trends and variances, you dig into the details to explain movements and propose improvements.
  • You review reconciliations, guide junior accountants, and ensure quality, completeness, and accuracy in all financial data.
  • Collaborating across teams, you contribute to projects and continuously improve tools, processes and internal controls.

  • You bring at least 4–5 years of experience in General Ledger accounting, with a knowledge of BEGAAP and minimum IFRS 16.
  • You have hands-on SAP experience, especially with FI/CO and AA.

Within Luminus, our Optimisation department is responsible for maximizing the value of the company’s energy assets—such as renewable generation and storage—by leveraging data and market insights to drive efficient, sustainable operations. The deparments plays a key role in supporting the transition to clean energy by optimizing production and trading strategies that reduce CO₂ emissions and promote the use of green energy.

 

 

As a Market Design Analyst, you navigate the complexities of the energy market and shape its future. You are responsible for monitoring market design and regulatory frameworks, supporting Luminus in adapting to a rapidly evolving energy landscape.

 

 

 

What you’ll do

 

  • You follow market design evolutions and regulatory frameworks, focusing on European market integration, ancillary services, balancing mechanisms, offshore integration, CRM and CCMD.
  • Evaluating their impact on Luminus, you analyse regulatory changes and contracts with the TSO/DSO.
  • You participate in TSO/DSO workshops, preparing proposals, responses and positions in collaboration with Corporate Affairs and other teams.
  • You organize and lead transversal working groups to discuss TSO/DSO market design and Capacity Remuneration Mechanisms.
  • Assisting teams in executing changes at both contractual and operational levels, you ensure smooth transitions.
  • You maintain a strategic overview, advising management on technical directions, staying updated on customer needs and emerging technologies, and recommending product use cases or pilot projects.

 

 

What you bring

 

  • You hold a Master’s degree in Engineering, Commercial Sciences, Economics, or an equivalent field.
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in the energy sector.
  • You possess a keen interest in gas markets, electricity markets and support mechanisms.
  • You are fluent in English and either Dutch or French.

As a Functional Analyst,you’ll bridge business needs and IT solutions, working on critical energy applications. You’ll analyze requirements, design features and support development to deliver seamless, high-impact systems. Your solid background in IT and hands-on development experience will be essential in translating complex technical challenges into functional solutions.

 

 

What you'll do 

  • You collaborate with business and IT teams to define and refine requirements.
  • You design solutions for both front-end and back-end systems, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • You validate, test and document delivered components.
  • You lead sprint demos, capture feedback, and refine products for maximum value.
  • You provide post-delivery support and contribute to continuous improvements.

 

 

What you bring  

  • You hold a degree in IT, or you can demonstrate at least two years of relevant experience in hands-on development roles.
  • ​​​​​​​You have two years of experience in functional analysis and have built this expertise in an IT context.
  • ​​​​​​​You bring experience in functional analysis, preferably in .NET.
  • You are expert in UML, SQL and REST API testing.
  • You have strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • You are fluent in English (Dutch and/or French is a plus).
