As a Functional Analyst,

you’ll bridge business needs and IT solutions, working on critical energy applications. You’ll analyze requirements, design features and support development to deliver seamless, high-impact systems. Your solid background in IT will be essential in translating complex technical challenges into functional solutions.

You’ll join an Agile team where you collaborate closely with architects, product owners and developers. Your job? Ensure that every design decision adds value and accelerates delivery.

What you'll do

• Transform business requirements into scalable, future-proof IT designs
• Ensure solution alignment with the broader architecture in collaboration with the Solution Architect
• Estimate workload, guide implementation, and oversee solution quality
• Help teams deliver on-time and in line with standards, ensuring value for money
• Actively review and improve existing designs to support a stable and modern landscape
• Share knowledge and coach peers within your domain
• Guide both business and technical stakeholders to the best-fit solution

What you bring

• At least 3 years of experience as a Solution Designer and a degree in IT or equivalent experience
• Comfortable working across technologies like AWS, serverless, SQL/NoSQL, APIs and event-driven systems
• Fluent in both the language of developers and business stakeholders
• Able to present your ideas clearly—using diagrams, models or documentation
• You have a solid grasp of the processes within the energy landscape and support business analysis when needed.
• Hands-on approach with APIs, queries, logs, or basic scripts
• You think in reusable components and scalable patterns
• Fluent in English and either Dutch or French
