Finance

The Affiliates Business Partner team plays a crucial role within Luminus's central Finance team. Our goal is to create a collaborative environment that ensures the accurate integration of financial results from our affiliates into the financial reporting of Luminus. We are dedicated to delivering accurate financial information to management and stakeholders, while constantly improving our tools, processes, and paternership with both internal and external partners.

Your daily Job

 

  • You collaborate with the Accounting and Investment teams to prepare IFRS adjustments that align the BE GAAP reporting from affiliates (e.g., PPA, put liabilities, IFRS 16).
  • You lead the monthly and quarterly closing processes. You will proactively communicate with affiliates to ensure timely input. You process inputs to guarantee accurate integration of results for consolidation. You post necessary IFRS adjustments.
  • You utilize our reporting tool, Tagetik, to develop and prepare insightful management reports.
  • You create ad-hoc reports tailored to business and affiliate needs.
  • You conduct initial reviews and analyses of financial results from affiliates.
  • You cultivate a deep understanding of the affiliates' business operations.
  • You spearhead the budgeting, forecasting, and medium-term projection (MTP) processes. You engage with affiliates to ensure timely input. You process inputs for accurate results integration. You collaborate with the business to understand and challenge assumptions. You prepare and post necessary IFRS adjustments.
  • You identify opportunities for improvement and propose solutions to enhance current processes. You leverage and further develop existing reporting tools. You implement innovative solutions using new tools, such as PowerQuery. You streamline internal procedures.

 

Your Profile

 

  • You have 4 to 5 years of audit or accounting experience.
  • You possess a solid understanding of accounting principles (including BE GAAP and IFRS)
  • You have knowledge of consolidation processes.
  • You have strong Excel skills, experience with PowerQuery is a plus.
  • Experience with Tagetik, SAP, or Business Central is also a plus.
  • You excel at communication as collaboration is at the heart of this role.
  • You demonstrate consistency and organization in your work.
  • You are proactive and take initiative.

Your Daily Job

Luminus and its partners (EDF Renewables and Jan De Nul for phase 1) will participate to the Federal Government tender for the Princess Elisabeth Zone.

As Offshore Developer you are part of the team that participates in the tendering process (pre-qualification, design of the Project, writing of the bid, presentation ) and are you involved in internal and external studies, communications, meetings and deliverables required to ensure a successful bid by Luminus and its partners.

 

 

Your daily job

 

  • You set up and maintain relationships with Belgian stakeholders of the tender at the federal level (FOD Energy, FOD Environment, CREG, ELIA, etc.) and at the local level (local municipalities, federal administrative services, port authorities, local stakeholders, etc.) in close cooperation with Corporate Affairs.

  • You assist the Project Director in preparing the project steering committee (agenda, minutes of meeting) and in internal reporting to the Luminus management as part of the project team.

  • You execute development tasks:-You collaborate with the engineering teams of EDF Renewables and/or other partners for the technical design of the project and collecting government investigations and studies for site characterization (including but not limited to permit and environmental conditions, geotechnical studies, wind measurements, and metocean studies).-You facilitate citizen participation.-You ensure that major development risks of the project are controlled.-You manage development aspects of the project on a day-to-day basis.-You participate in the choice of technologies and aspects of procurement procedures related to the project, industrial plan, contracting strategy, and layout.-You develope the project with a competitive business case in mind, consistent with the needs of the shareholders and market standards.

What you’ll do

 

  • You prepare monthly financial reports and interact with support departments, sharing results with ExCom and helping optimize expenses.
  • Leading the month-end and year-end financial close, you also prepare monthly reports and conducting variance analysis for Luminus’ support departments.

  • You possess deep knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Matplotlib, Seaborn), creating impactful executive-level reports and dashboards.
  • You have solid experience in data modeling techniques, structuring and organizing data to ensure scalability and alignment with business needs.
  • You are fluent in English and either Dutch or French.

  • You have experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Snowflake) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), ensuring high data integrity with data quality tools.
