As part of the Affiliates Business Partner team, this role plays a key part within the central Finance department of Luminus. The team acts as a financial junction — connecting insights from our affiliates to the broader organisation. A solid reporting flow, continuous improvements, and collaborative relationships are at the heart of what we do. In this position, the focus lies on accuracy, understanding, and initiative, with the goal of delivering reliable, actionable insights for both management and external stakeholders.
Your daily Job
- You collaborate with the Accounting and Investment teams to prepare IFRS adjustments that align the BE GAAP reporting from affiliates (e.g., PPA, put liabilities, IFRS 16).
- The monthly and quarterly closings rely on timely coordination. By staying in close contact with affiliates and ensuring smooth data flows, you contribute to accurate and consistent reporting outcomes.
- Tagetik is used to build structured, insightful reports. You’ll have the opportunity to work with this tool creatively — not just to input figures, but to shape narratives that support business decisions.
- Ad-hoc reporting is part of the role too. Whether for internal stakeholders or affiliate-specific needs, you tailor outputs that add real value.
- A first-line review and analysis of affiliate results allows you to build a strong understanding of their financials and to detect anomalies early on.
- As part of the planning cycle, you collect and process inputs for budgets, forecasts, and medium-term plans. Challenging assumptions and clarifying expectations is part of the dialogue. You prepare and post necessary IFRS adjustments.
- You help spot where tools or processes fall short, and are encouraged to suggest improvements. There's room to implement new techniques — like using PowerQuery — and to rethink how financial workflows are organised.
Your Profile
- A background of 4 to 5 years in audit or accounting tends to be a strong foundation for this role.
- You bring sound knowledge of accounting principles (BE GAAP and IFRS), and a working familiarity with consolidation is considered a plus.
- Excel holds no secrets for you. Experience with tools like PowerQuery, Tagetik, SAP, or Business Central can be beneficial — but just as important is a willingness to learn them on the job.
- Strong communication skills help you connect with affiliates and colleagues across different teams. Sharing, questioning and aligning are second nature to you.
- Structured and consistent work habits are part of your approach, along with a healthy sense of curiosity and (proactive) problem-solving.
- Fluent English is essential, and ideally you're also comfortable in Dutch or French — with at least a working understanding of the other.
