As a Controlling Analyst, you’re more than a number cruncher. You translate figures into actionable insights, help departments stay within budget, and act as a business partner to senior stakeholders. You play a key role in strategic decision-making and drive added value across the organization.
What you’ll do
- Each month, you support support departments and ExCom by preparing financial reports that clarify results and steer decisions in the right direction.
- Leading the month-end and year-end financial close, you also prepare monthly reports and conducting variance analysis for Luminus’ support departments.
- To gather budget and re-forecast information, you organize meetings to ensure planning assumptions align with company targets and collaborate closely with support department managers and ExCom members.
- Proactively participate in new initiatives and contribute to strategic exercises, including benchmarking, cost allocation and new processes, you steer the business towards value-added strategies.
- You review business cases for consistency, completeness and relevance, organizing and participating in follow-ups of significant investments to assess the precision and correctness of previous business cases.
- Controlling and monitoring operating expenses by department, you also organise quarterly expense reviews with support managers to review actual OPEX and prepare LEx.
What you bring
- A Master’s degree in Finance, or equivalent experience, shows you have the foundation needed to take on this challenge.
- After 2–3 years in a controlling role, you’ve developed the reflexes to prioritize, analyse, and collaborate under pressure.
- With guidance from the Finance team, you make smart, independent decisions and know when to escalate.
- Communicating with senior stakeholders, including ExCom members, doesn’t faze you—you know how to explain the story behind the figures.
- Strong skills in Excel, Power Query, Power BI, SAP and BW help you automate processes and turn data into clarity.
- You speak fluent English. Knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a strong asset.
